Emmerson + Hudson take Hollywood

When my sweet friend Marci from Little Edge Threads asked if the kids would be apart of a segment she was putting together for Hollywood Today Live, our answer was a no brainer. Em LOVES any opportunity she has to be on tv and I was sure my Hudson boy would thoroughly enjoy it as well. It took place the day after Greg's birthday, so we decided to make a little overnight trip out of it. We got a hotel, ate pizza and then woke up super early for a 7am call time at the studio. After a couple of rehearsals and green room shenanigans, the little ones took the runway with some of our other favorite Instagram kids. CLICK HERE to watch the video!

When I first laid eyes on this maternity one piece denim jumpsuit from Seraphine, I knew it had to be mine. It's no joke, the comfort of wearing onsie pajamas all day long, only socially acceptable to wear out in public. win win. Super stretchy, enough room for a growing belly, great quality...I honestly have nothing but good things to say. There is nothing I enjoy more than being next to my love, feeling the warm sunshine on our faces, surrounded by the happy squeals of our children running barefoot in the grass...or usually in our case, sand. In those moments nothing else matters and my heart is completely full. These sweet humans I get to share life with are my whole world. We ventured to Old Town San Diego yesterday to walk the streets, browse the shops and run free in the grass. ...but lets be real, I'm 27 weeks pregnant there was absolutely no running on my part...there's just something special about that place. It was exactly what we all needed.

Easter Weekend

Fresh roses from the backyard, beach day, mexican food, mass amounts of sugar, church, naps and a seriously delicious dinner with Greg's parents all made for an absolutely perfect Easter weekend. Emmerson ran circles around our house on Easter morning screaming at an insanely high volume "EASTER IS MY MOST FAVORITE HOLIDAY!!" ...so I'm guessing it was good for the littles too. Spring has a special way of making everything seem fresh + cheery and i don't know if it's "nesting" or just that spring cleaning bug, but we've been organizing and deep cleaning our buns off and i kind of love it.

When we set up our first ever professional family photoshoot back in November with the amazingly talented Tarah Sweeney, we had no idea that I was pregnant. Literally a couple of days later we were overjoyed to learn that a wee baby girl would be joining our little fam and somehow just knowing that our third and final sweet baby was rapidly growing inside my gut at the time this session took place, makes these photos extra special to me. We are the Nielsen family. Hi, I'm Nikki + my lover Greg. Together we made two and a half darling humans, Emmerson + Hudson...and of course the little nugget due to arrive in July.
